UPDATE;

On January 31, 2012 John and Wanda Casias, who have lived in Mexico as missionaries since 1983, have gone to be with the Lord. They were victims of a home invasion crime that took both their lives just outside of Monterrey NL, Mexico. John and Wanda’s youngest son, Shawn Casias found his parents when visiting them to pick up a trailer.

Pomerado Road Baptist Church out of Poway, California has adopted the ministry of John and Wanda Casias and we are excited about its continued future growth from the foundation established by John and Wanda Casias through Jesus Christ.

We praise the Lord for the 30 years of faithful service and blessed missionary accomplishments made by John and Wanda Casias in Mexico, but the work is not done! Prayfully, we believe this ministry deserves to continue growing with ongoing attention, love and efforts in reaching the lost and providing nurture to the established Churches. Since the recent deaths of John and Wanda, the Casias family will continue to help Pomerado Road Baptist Church by providing local know-how and infrastructure. We have made progress by bringing in a Pastor and helping grow the church attendance. We ask you to keep the ministry and the Casias family in your prayers as we take on this great work.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”~~ROMANS 8:28

Update

The Casias Family would like to thank you for your support in the form of prayers and contributions to the John and Wanda Casias ministry during the past 29 years. We are happy to report that Crosspointe Baptist Church with the help of the Casias family will be continuing the ministry.

Unfortunately, starting from the time of our parents death, the ministry has not received any monetary support for costs associated with the continuing of the ministry or the death of our parents and has dealt with challenges on both sides of the border. Sadly, we have detected websites and Facebook pages that claim they contribute to our parents ministry. We ask that you reconsider any contributions made since Febuary 1st, 2012 or any contributions you consider making and the venue through which you intend on making them.

Without a doubt we want to see the ministry continue and reach the next generations. Please continue to pray with us as we by faith plan and work to reach The Republic of Mexico. Feel free to contact Johnny Casias of Pomerado Road Baptist Church with any questions. God bless you. As of February 2013 The ‘Sending Church’ for the ministry started by our parents, John and Wanda Casias is:

Welcome

Our goal for this site is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and at the same time, offer you the opportunity to better know us, as well as to keep up to date with our ministry. God called me to the Republic of Mexico in 1982. Eleven months later, on October 28, 1983 Wanda, three of our younger sons, and I arrived in Mexico. The Lord has been faithful to Wanda and I and kept us here ever since.

(I-Corinthians 1:9) “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord”, (I-Corinthians 4:2) “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful”.
